Everest Market is a free, hyperlocal community platform for Nepal — a marketplace to buy and sell, a place to list and find property rentals, and a job board to post and apply for work, plus everyday community tools (live weather, the Nepali Patro calendar, gold/silver and forex rates, a flood monitor, and a hospital directory). We do not buy, sell, ship, inspect, or take payment for any item, property, or job. Every transaction happens directly and in person between you and the other user.

• Post accurate, honest listings — real photos, true condition, fair price, and (for rentals and jobs) accurate terms.
• Only list items, properties, and jobs that are legal under Nepali law.
• Communicate respectfully. Threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, and spam are not allowed.
• You are solely responsible for verifying an item, property, employer, or the person you meet before completing a transaction.

Everest Market is built around real, in-person meetups and direct arrangements — please take the same precautions you would with any stranger:

• Meet in a public, well-lit place, ideally during the day. Many local police stations offer a "safe exchange zone."
• Bring a friend or tell someone where you're going.
• Inspect the item or property in person before paying. Never send money in advance, especially for "free" items, unusually good deals, or a deposit sight-unseen.
• For jobs, be cautious of any employer who asks you to pay a fee to be hired.
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, walk away.
• Report suspicious accounts, listings, or messages using the report option in the app.

Weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit items, animals, and anything illegal under Nepali law may not be listed. Impersonating another person, creating fake accounts, posting fraudulent property or job listings, or manipulating trust scores/ratings is prohibited.

Trust scores reflect ratings left by real counterparties after a transaction. Ratings should be honest and based on your actual experience. Abuse of the rating system may result in account suspension.

In-app chat is provided so you can arrange a transaction without sharing your phone number until you're ready. Do not use chat to harass, threaten, or defraud another user.

Weather, the Nepali Patro calendar (tithi, festivals, and holidays), gold/silver and forex rates, the Flood Monitor, and the hospital/emergency directory are provided for your convenience, sourced from third-party and government data where noted in-app. They are not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or up to the second, and must not be relied on as your sole source for safety-critical or financial decisions:

• In a real emergency, always contact official emergency services directly rather than relying solely on the Flood Monitor or hospital directory.
• Rates are informational, not financial advice — confirm with a bank or dealer before an actual transaction.
• Calendar/tithi information is provided for everyday convenience and is not authoritative religious or astrological guidance.

Everest Market is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the identity of users, the safety of any in-person meeting, or the accuracy of third-party data shown in the app. You assume all risk when arranging and completing a transaction or relying on informational content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Everest Market and its team are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from your use of the app, a transaction with another user, or reliance on any informational content in the app.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, post prohibited content, engage in unsafe or fraudulent behavior, or abuse the chat, ratings, or job/rental posting features.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
